Long steep descents and climbs at Walker Ranch will have your legs and lungs burning, but the scenery is unlike anything anywhere else in Boulder. Meyers Homestead is a more gradual steady climb that ends with a bench overlooking the continental divide.

Moderate to extreme trails. Many intersecting trails make this great for adventures of any time frame, but prepare for several hours to a full day if you plan on tackling any of the peaks. Chautauqua and Eldorado Canyon parking lots are always full on weekends but most people don't know to park at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) so that lot always has space. Popular hikes include the First Flatiron, Green Mountain, Royal Arch, Mallory Cave, and Bear Peak.

Moderate to extreme trails. Steep technical trails on the front side of Sanitas and longer smooth winding single track trails on the back. Not as high as its neighbors to the south make this one of the most popular summits in Boulder.
